Klaus Freeland, MD, is a highly skilled, board-certified ophthalmologist, who served as an active duty and civil service ophthalmologist with the 1st Infantry Division of the United States Army at Fort Riley, Kansas.  Dr. Freeland received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Florida, after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at Ohio State University.  He completed his internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. and his residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Dr. Freeland enjoys building relationships with his patients based on individualized care and trust.  He seeks to provide his patients with up to date care in all aspects of comprehensive ophthalmology.  He performs cataract surgery, LASIK, PRK, ICL surgery, pterygium surgery and glaucoma surgeries among others.  Alongside a highly qualified, friendly staff, he will work hard to ensure you enjoy your visit, and receive the best possible eye care at Coastal Eye Center in Stuart.

Dr. Freeland also enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, hiking, playing guitar and helping with medical missions.

Dr.  Freeland is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has privileges at Cleveland Clinic Martin Hospital                                                                                    of Stuart,FL.
